Delta Dental Board of Directors Elects Officers
August 10, 2007 (Okemos, Mich.) — Officers of the Delta Dental of Ohio Board of Directors were elected to serve one-year terms during the board’s recent annual meeting.
Colleen G. Vienna, D.D.S., of North Olmstead, Ohio, was re-elected chairperson. She is a general practitioner in North Olmstead.
Kelly Jubb Scheiderer, RHIA, MHA, of Hillard, Ohio, was re-elected vice chairperson. She is administrator for the Department of Emergency Medicine at The Ohio State University Medical Center.
James P. Hallan, of Okemos, Mich., was re-elected treasurer. Hallan is the president and chief operating officer of the Michigan Retailers Association in Lansing.
Michael T. Schaffer, D.D.S., of Cincinnati, Ohio, was re-elected secretary. He is a general practitioner in Cincinnati.
Douglas Anderson, D.D.S., M.S., J.D., of Columbus, Ohio, was elected member-at-large. Anderson is adjunct professor at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxiofacial Surgery.
Laura O. Stearns, of Williamston, Mich., was elected member-at-large. She is the vice president of service program operations at the Michigan Catholic Conference in Lansing.
Jeffrey Keller, of Perrysburg, Ohio, will continue to serve as immediate past chairperson. Keller is the vice president of compensation and benefits at ProMedica Health System in Toledo.
Bruce R. Smith, of Erlanger, Kent., manager of employee benefits at Catholic Health Initiatives, and Lawrence Crawford, D.D.S., of Detroit, Mich., president and CEO of DBM Technologies, were both re-elected for three-year terms on the board.
Members of the board are Kerry M. Kaysserian, D.D.S., of Traverse City, Mich., general practitioner, James R. Stahl, D.D.S., of Toledo, Ohio, general practitioner, and Edward J. Zobeck, of Troy, Mich., vice president of human resources at The Auto Club Group.
Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, with its affiliate in Tennessee, make up one of the largest dental plan administrators in the nation. In 2006, the enterprise paid more than $1.7 billion for dental care for more than 6.2 million enrollees. Offices are located in Okemos and Farmington Hills, Michigan; Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio; Indianapolis and Greenwood, Indiana; and Nashville, Knoxville, and Memphis, Tennessee.
