• Monitor how much candy your children eat. Plus, make sure they drink plenty of water afterward to wash away the excess sugar and brush regularly, especially after eating candy.

Start by asking your dentist if they have a buy-back program where for every pound of candy you bring in, your child can receive a special gift or maybe even money. • Create a “candy bank” where kids can turn in some of their Halloween candy to their parents and receive other types of rewards or privileges.
